Meet Terri Romero Owner & Lead Instructor | North Pointe Learning & Tutoring

Some educators find their calling in a classroom. Terri Romero found hers one student at a time.

As the founder of North Pointe Learning & Tutoring, Terri brings a rare blend of academic expertise, heartfelt dedication, and a natural gift for connecting with learners of all ages. With a Master of Education from Sam Houston State University and years of hands-on experience in early literacy and instructional support, she built North Pointe Learning on one simple belief: every child deserves instruction tailored to the way they learn best.

Based in the heart of Conroe, Texas, Terri works with students in a warm, supportive environment where learning feels safe, structured, and even fun. Her specialty in early literacy — including phonemic awareness, foundational reading skills, and individualized intervention — means she doesn’t just teach children to read. She helps them fall in love with it.

Terri has extensive experience teaching across multiple curricula and adapting instruction to meet each learner’s needs. Whether a child is working within a school‑based program, a tutoring curriculum, or TEFA‑aligned materials, she ensures the instruction fits the student — not the other way around.

As a TEFA‑approved instructional provider, Terri is proud to serve families navigating educational options through the Texas Education Freedom Act. She offers high‑quality, research‑aligned instruction that meets state standards while honoring each child’s unique pace and learning style.

When she’s not supporting students or celebrating a breakthrough moment, Terri is a devoted community member, a passionate advocate for children’s education, and someone who truly believes that one caring teacher can change everything.

“Every child has the capacity to grow. My job is to make sure they never stop believing that.”Terri Romero
